The Forest Fairy Princess

Not so long ago, in a land not far away,

there lived a fairy princess, in the forest by the bay.

She lived beneath the trees, and took shelter from the sky.

She watched over the animals, when the storms rolled by.

She noticed all the little things, in the forest by the bay.

How all the baby animals would run around and play.

She noticed how the mothers, kept there babies clean,

and how at night in baby sleep, the baby animals would dream.

The babies dreamed of distant lands, and forests far away.

The mothers dreamt of nearby streams, where their babies could play.

As the forest babies grew, some left to follow distant stars,

and in the fairy forest, the princess protected from afar.

The forest fairy mothers’ knew their babies where O.K.

They wished their babies didn’t dream of lands so far away.

The forest fairy seemed so small as baby dreams just grew and grew.

The troubled fairy forest princess didn’t know just what to do.

Then she remembered when she was young, in a land not far away,

how she dreamed of distant lands, and a forest by the bay.

The forest fairy princess had set her wings to fly,

and now the forest babies would give their wings a try.

She kept watch over the mothers, in the forest by the bay,

and knew that through their mothers love, all of the babies were O.K.
