Forty Five years have built the past

You’ve showed that love can last

Remember early days and sunset waves

Your first kiss and younger days

You strike a match and throw it down

It burns itself out on the ground

You light a candle it burns bright

It stays lit throughout the night

You’ve raised a family and should be proud

Even when we get too loud

You’ve made a home to come back to

And another home to travel to

You’ve helped and heard,

Listened and learned

We celebrate this day

Family is a place in the heart

Mom and Dad is where it starts

You’ve shared your lives

And given us ours
